Heat Wave Series

This series is my exploration of the concepts of heat and/or light primarily using the elements of color and shape.  The first piece was made in 2000 when we were living on the Gulf Coast of Florida.  At that time heat was more a factor than light.  Since then we have moved north twice, and now light is more a factor.

Redux Series

This series pays homage to traditional quilt patterns.  However I have put my own spin on the designs.  The "log cabin" design is one of my all time favorite patterns and is the inspiration for many of the pieces in this group.

Nature Series

I am constantly amazed at the beauty of the earth, sky and water that surround us.  The pieces in this series reflect the seasonal colors of nature.

Painted Pieces

This is not so much a series as it is a grouping of pieces that have been painted.  I have used a variety of tools, including textile paint, oil pastels, water soluble pastels, and ink.
